Jazz up classic hot dogs with tasty canned ingredients like corn, diced tomatoes, okra and green chilies. Thanks to the canning process, their freshness and flavor are locked in and available whenever you’re ready to get cooking!

INGREDIENTS

Black Bean Salsa:
1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 8.75-ounce can corn kernels, drained
1 4.5-ounce can diced green chilies, drained
1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
1 tablespoon olive oil

Baked Bean Mixture:
2 slices bacon, diced
1 small red onion, diced
1 16-ounce can baked beans

Okra Topping:
1 13.4-ounce can okra, drained and sliced
1 small red bell pepper, cored, seeded and diced

Hog Dogs:
1 16-ounce package all-beef hot dogs (8)
1 package hot dog buns, each split
Mustard and Ketchup, optional

PREPARATION

Prepare Black Bean Salsa: In large bowl combine black beans, tomatoes, corn chilies, avocado and olive oil to mix well.

Prepare Baked Bean Mixture: In small skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Add red onions: cook 5 minutes until tender. Drain; stir in baked beans; heat through.

Prepare Okra Topping: In small bowl combine sliced okra and red pepper; toss to mix well.

Prepare hot dogs: Grill hot dogs until lightly charred all over. Place a hot dog in each bun. Top with favorite toppings. Serve with Mustard and ketchup if desired.
