According to a recent survey of moms with kids in the household, nearly half are likely to run out of food in their fridge on Thursday or earlier. But instead of calling for takeout, with the help of canned pizza sauce, spinach and olives, parents can whip up their own Flatbread Pizza in no time!

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ pound spicy Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 store-bought naan
  • 1 8-ounce can pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into rounds
  • 1 15-ounce can spinach, drained and patted dry
  • ¼ cup canned black olives, sliced
  • ¼ cup canned roasted red peppers, diced

PREPARATION

Prepare Brown Sausage: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add sausage and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Transfer with a slotted spoon to a paper-towel lined plate.

Prepare Flatbread: Preheat oven to 450℉. Arrange naan on two rimmed baking sheets. Spoon about 3 tablespoons pizza sauce over each piece of naan and spread to cover. Top pizzas with mozzarella. Sprinkle spinach, olives, roasted red peppers and sausage over the pizzas. Bake flatbreads until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 15 minutes.
